this collection finely reveals Michael
Ballew’s ability to handle diverse material, albeit all the

Michael
Ballew reflects on No Pain:
“I
can say in all honesty… this is truly home grown music from the
Heart of
“It’s so easy in this digital age for musicians to record
their own CD. Good
friends sitting in a circle, pouring their hearts out and having a
party in the zero pressure atmosphere of my Hill Country home on the
shores of Lake LBJ is exactly what I did with this collection of Texas
music from me and my old friends.
“No Pain is a compilation of 18 new and old songs I’ve
written over the years with the exception of one Honky Tonk standard
written by my song writing hero, the late great Harlan Howard. “The concept for this album is an idea I’ve been kicking around for some years now and I hope you have as much fun listening and dancing around as we had bringing it to you.”
