Peter Prince - Country
Music Songwriter
Peter Prince Began his
musical career playing guitar with folk groups in Greenwich Village during
the 60's and early 70's. Peter's first songwriting project,
"Inspired", a collection of folk/country tunes was released in
2001. Even before "Inspired", Peter had earned notable
recognition as a songwriter, including the presentation of "Miracle
Drive (Ballad Of The '69 Mets)" (Track 13, on "Inspired")
set to video by the New York Mets and presented on Diamond Vision at Shea
Stadium in 1994 and 1999. "Miracle Drive" was, also, featured on
Fox Sport Net and WFAN Sports Radio. In addition to sports media, his
music is, also, broadcast on WFDU Radio, 89.1 FM in NYC and NJ. The CD
"Inspired" can be viewed, listened to and purchased by clicking
here.
His most recent release, entitled "BULLDOG", is a
collection of songs written by Peter and sung by two talented Nashville
vocalists, Dave Brooks and Ronnie Kimball. There is some fine musicianship,
too. On fiddle on "Danglin' Over Fire", song #1 (sung by
Brooks), is Tigar Bell of the Ricky Van Shelton band and "jack of all
trades", Galen Breen (Gator Hole Studio, Nashville) plays guitar,
mandolin, mouth harp, keyboards, and produced and engineered the album.
Song #2, "Bulldog", the title track sung by Ronnie Kimball, is
about a girl and her best friend.
A special song on the CD (song # 3) is "The Ultimate
Sacrifice", (Kimball) inspired by the tragic death of Mary Ann
Collura, Fair Lawn, NJ's first female police officer. An eighteen year
veteran, she was gunned down by a drug dealer 4/17/03, when she came to
assist a fellow officer. Her killer fled and was tracked down and killed
by the Florida police, and the story received national attention. Since
her death, Mary Ann has been honored for her bravery and sacrifice by
President Bush as well as receiving posthumously the Medal Of Valor from
The International Association Of Police Women. Just recently "The
Ultimate Sacrifice" was accepted by this world wide police
organization as their anthem. In addition, the song has been featured in
THE BERGEN RECORD and on Channel 9, WWOR TV.
Peter Prince songs are on Songwriters
