David Church To Perform At Hank Williams Festival

   Nashville, TN 05/16/06 Nashville recording artist, David Church will be featured at the Hank Williams Festival in Georgiana, AL June 1-3 along with major headliners: Ray Price, Doug Stone, John Conley, Billy Joe Royal and Jett Williams. Church has been featured on Nationally televised RFD-TV’s popular show “Midwest Country.” Church has gained national attention for his uncanny ability to sound like the legend, Hank Williams, Sr. "Hank Williams had something rare and special, something that reached inside you and touched your heart. David Church has that “something special". And when he walks on stage, the audience is just spellbound!"
   "We have gotten more response from David’s performance than from any of our headliners from Nashville." That was the statement made by Joe Jensen, the producer of Midwest Country. RFDTV has recently gained incredible ratings through an independent agency and is broadcast throughout the US and Canada to over 130 Million viewers. Originally slotted on Saturday evenings, it has become so popular that it is now broadcast on Monday and Tuesday afternoon as well. People all over the US have attended his concerts, and watched his television performances, and they find it amazing. Midwest Country and RFD-TV was literally flooded with calls and emails after televising Church on the show. They have featured David on many episodes. Many people believe that this show is the new “Opry” of today, and features many legendary artists such as Bill Anderson, Jean Shephard, Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, and many more. In addition it features local and regional artists.
   Church has also received airplay all over the world including the popular XM RADIO show “Bill Mack” As Bill Mack, XM radio’s satellite cowboy put it, “David brings Hank’s music into focus.” After 10 years in bluegrass, Church’s first country album gained international recognition with songs in the top 10 positions of mp3 and European Country charts. (ECMA) In some countries his song “You’ve Got The Key” made the number one position. David’s songs are now being played on traditional radio stations throughout Europe, Australia, England, Ireland and the US. In early 2002, he was featured on a tour in Europe for 2 months. In 2003, he was featured at Hank Williams 50th memorial, at the Hank Williams Museum in Montgomery. Later, David and Don Helms, Hank’s original steel guitarist produced an album titled, “A Legend Froze In Time,” featuring 12 of Hanks songs and the title song, written by Church. It also features a 20 minute interview with Don Helms on his life and travel with Hank. The album is now considered a collectors item, and is sold by Ernest Tubb Records in Nashville and online. The album is, also, featured on CDbaby.com. The show will include female artist, Terri Lisa. Terri Lisa, is an accomplished performing artist as well. She has performed throughout the world and has been featured on “Midwest Country.” She will be featuring songs from legendary “Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, and more.
   Church is recognized by the Hank Williams fan club, The Hank Williams Museum in Montgomery, AL. He was recently inducted as a lifetime member to Worldwide “Hank Williams Appreciation Society” Church is a member of CMA and IFCO in Nashville.
